Ask me why I think Singapore is the best holiday destination?

I tell you, it's because one of the main attractions of Singapore is its shopping experience.

Yes! In Singapore, there are a lot of sale periods throughout the year such as the Great Singapore Sale around May to July.

Orchard Road - If you want to shop for branded clothes or electronics. This is where you should be! Shopping malls like Takashimaya, Wisma and ION shall put a big smile over your face!

Photobucket

Bugis Streets - A place whereby you can get a lot of bargains so trust me, this is where your bargaining techniques will come in handy.

Photobucket

Vivo City - You can almost find all major brands that you can think of. It is definitely a good place to shop.

What's more?

THE SALES!

"Great Singapore Sale allows you to enjoy cheap shopping in Singapore. During this period, you will enjoy great discounts up to 70%. Almost all major shopping malls and centres will lower down their prices during this period. With this opportunity, you will be able to get the stuffs that you want at bargained rates."

Let you all see the PRIN-TAC-GLES

Surrogates Movie Review

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Photobucket

Have you ever dreamt that if you can have the ability to go out of your house in another identity or someone (something) that can represent you to do your daily chores, going for work and meetings while all you do was stay at home and control it?

Isn’t that awesome? It’s just like a perfect tool and all so convenient!

In the movie: Surrogates; you can experience how is it like to be in another identity. In other words, a robot that represents you.

Surrogates, adapted from the comic book The Surrogates and directed by Jonathan Mostow. (Hancock & Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines ß He just loves robots eh?)

Starring Bruce Willis as Agent Tom Greer, the brave agent who is the MUST-SEE in the movie!

Photobucket

The movie begins with a murder when both the surrogate and the user are killed, not a normal murdering case since you are not suppose to die when your surrogate is damaged. So Agent Tom becomes the only person left to solve this case in his real flesh (Since his surrogate is beyond repair during a chase)

Not my type of movie but I say it’s pretty good. The exciting part of the movie will be during the chase part, all the explosive, surrogate crashing and BOOM BANG are all included in this scene.

Aiya! I write so much might no help also! You go watch trailer and see if you like it anot!?

But I say this movie is for you if you are a fan of action movie of Bruce Willis.

Rating: 7 out of 10 stars, wait is popcorn better?

AHH!! I don’t have the image for the rating!!!

Catch Surrogates at cinema on 1st October 2009 (which is tomorrow!)

PS: Thanks NuffnangSG for the movie screening.

PS2: FYI hor, this is my first time writing a movie review!

Mad About Hair Salon

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

-
Okay! I reckon that I shall blog this out to get it out of my mind! Maybe I can feel better?

A while ago, I was watching some show on television on the sofa when a particular show commercial showed up.

(You know? Those commercial whereby it shows you what happened in the next episode of the show? Something like sneak preview. Oh wait! It's called sneak preview is it?)

It's some variety show that featured a famous hairdresser teaching an auntie how to cut hair, in other words, how to be a hairdresser lah...

But the auntie was kinda inexperience and dropped the comb. So her instructor, (the famous hairdresser obviously...) told her:

"When you drop the comb, you must pick it up and wash it!"

"If you drop the second time, the customer have the right not to let you cut his/her hair!"

This two lines kinda make me mad! You know why? Because this is what happened for my last haircut!

The bloody hairdresser dropped her comb two times when she cut my hair! And I don't remember she went to wash the comb! $#%#$#%#$

On top of that, her service was really bad! When she is done with the haircut, she didn't help me to style my hair. I was kinda hoping she offer the service since I am going out after that.

All hair salon help to style your hair after they cut your hair right? No?

But she didn't!!!

So I told her:

"Could you put some wax or do something for my hair?"

Her reply was something like:

"Huh? What do you mean?!"

*Aiya, I actually couldn't remember what's her reply was but she did said "huh?"

Sometimes, I really hate myself!

I think I am just too soft hearted or what! When she dropped her comb, I was like suspecting her level of hairdressing skill already. But I just didn't make any sound about it.

I should really voiced it out and say:

"Sorry, you bloody dropped the comb and didn't wash it! Get another person and cut my hair!"

But no, I didn't! (Told you I am too soft hearted!) and I don't dare to tell her that, like I am afraid I will hurt her or what.

Sometimes, I can be very stubborn and insisted my way like Students should not pay their busfare (when using coins) more than what they should pay.

And sometimes, I can be "Xin Ruan Ruan" like this haircut issue!

I am always at a losing end when it comes to getting a haircut. I always let the hairdresser psycho me and then at the end of the day, I will get moody because I got a bad haircut or it's not the hair I want.

Oh ya, that hairdresser kept psycho-ing me to do hair rebonding when I told her at least three times that I do not want!

I know you want to earn money lah but it's very irritating when someone told you no and yet you still ask again!

You know? I have friends who is very picky when it comes to haircut. They COMMAND the hairdresser and stop them when they think the hairdresser overdo the haircut or they realised it's not the hair they are after.

Not for me, I sort of respect the one cutting my hair lah! Only at rare occasion I guess.

Now that I am coming to the end of this entry, I realised I am losing track the main purpose of this post.

Anyway, I am really very mad that she didn't wash the comb after she dropped it and that I didn't stop her when she dropped the comb again!

Am not going there ever again! And I am going to be very strict for my next haircut! I hope?

PS: If anyone interested, the hair salon I went was Yishun's Alan & Guy.

PS2: And since I am at this hair topic now! Tell you all! A portion of my hair is maddy red now!

Twitter...Have You Twitter yet?

Friday, September 25, 2009

-
You know? With new media like Twitter being introduced to us. It's no wonder why we don't blog that often now. Yes, I am blaming Twitter. XD

I am sure some of you already know, especially my friends since I am flooding their Facebook page with all my Tweets. I am all over at Twitter now.

What's so special about Twitter actually? Why am I like so mad (somthing like that) about Twitter?

All I can tell you, is that Twitter is like a tool for communications and well, stalking your favourite people. Get it?

After these two points, Twitter is nothing but an application for you to type out your thoughts and share it with your followers.

(While typing this, I cant believe I am actually obsessed with it! )

Oh maybe you can add this point,

Who got the most followers in Twitter.

Don't lie! I am sure some of you, Twitter users have this mindset:

"Oh! I have 35 more followers than Molly the Monkey!"

"Aww! Why did Luffy the Lion have 1 more follower than me! What's so special about him? He's nothing but some mane monster!"

HAHAHA!! Yes! Everyone loves to compete! And I am one of them!

I remember there was this website I chanced upon while Twitstalking, asking people to vote for Mr.Twitter and blahblah blah!

Okay! Sorry folks! But I am rusing this post now so I wont miss my Survivor!!

I think Twitter should have this "Who stalk View Your Twitter Profile" (Something like Friendster) function. I am actually very kpo curious about who view my Twitter Profile. I dont know why!

Something like this!

Muawahahahhaha! Okay! I just edited away the "Who Followed You"

Oh! I am picked up a topic and blogged about it! WOOT!!

On a sad note, if some of you had yet know...

The author of Crayon Shinchan, Yoshito Usui is dead.

It's a tragic accident that he die when he was taking photo during his mountain hiking.

R.I.P Yoshito Usui, I really loves Crayon Shinchan.

PS: Even better, for those who don't know who is Crayon Shinchan. Click here

PS2: AHHHHHH!!!! SURVIVOR WAS TELECAST AT 5pm TODAY!! DAMN YOU F1! Luckily, there is a re-telecast.

Prawning Sessions with Classgang!

Thursday, September 24, 2009

-
Holiday life sucks when you don't have money at all! I am the soon-to-be "Zai Nan" AKA Otaku.

This holidays, almost all my friends are working their ass off, earning money. Except for me, I am rotting at home.

Note: I would love to go out with my friends but it's very hard when you don't have money!

Actually I just don't have the motivation to find new part time jobs and I am really reluctant to go back working at POPULAR.

Yeah, I admit! I just wanted people to spoon feed me with jobs lobang. In other words, I am just lazy to look for part time jobs.

I gave excuse to myself that it's hard to find part time job nowadays during this holiday. But it's the fact right? No?

So what I did during this holidays? I slept at around 4am everyday, woke up at around noon time. Wash up and start my frequent routine in the net.

When I get really really bored. I bloghop and Twitstalk. *fear*

Yeah baby! I am such a stalker! Muawahahahah!

And I realised that some bloggers look for topics to update their blog, they blog interesting stuff and make the entry entertaining. Have you all seen this??

*DE DOODLE BLOG'S DRAWINGS ARE SO CUTE!!!*

Seriously, I don't really go dig a topic and tried to blog about it, I find it very weird leh!

So for my blog, I guess it's more of personal stuff as I blog about the outings and birthday celebrations I had with my friends. (but sometimes I do find it boring...) I guess it's part of memories eh?! Then when I am old, I can read through all my blog post.

One more thing I would like to add on and that will be..

WALAU! WHAT WAS I THINKING WHEN I FIRST CREATED MY BLOG AH?!

Why did I used such a long ass name for my blog url!?

Believe me! None of my friend actually remember my blog url! The least they go is:

"Something dumb dumb dumb dumby bellz blogspot lor!?"

Blog URL. Failed. And it's too late to change now! (At least that's what I think!)

Luckily, you can just google dumbellz and the first link will be my blog.

Prawning Sessions @ Bishan.

Last Tuesday, I went out with Jia hao, Xiang Long, Wee Xiang, Ming Yue, Nova and her boyfriend, Zaw to Bishan/Marymount Prawn Farm for prawn-ing sessions.

Kinda excited about it since it's my first time going for prawning sessions and especially this outing wasn't organised by me but Xiang Long.

I met up with Jia Hao first and went for a hair cut so bascially, I had a bad hair day throughout the session. Then shopped around Northpoint and Junction 8 around 3pm.

We reached the farm around 6:30pm and we go for the 3 hours for $30 prawn fishing session.

Wee Xiang, Jia Hao and I shared a rod. I had miserable time hooking a prawn but Xiang Long was really good at it.

Photobucket
Xiang Long. Eh! Did he drop his rod or what?

All of us were hungry at the middle of the prawn fishing sessions, Nova and I went to the Tzhe Char stall to get some food. After that, we were still hungry so we ordered some BBQ chicken wings and satays.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I was lucky enough to fished the biggest prawn among us right after the staff told us that our prawn fishing time was up.

SEE! I AM NOT A NOOB LAH HOR!! SUPER HAPPY LAH!!! HAHAHA!!

After that, we went to the BBQ pit and start the preparation for the BBQ. Washed the prawns and start the fire.

I am guilty because I just sat down while the rest busy preparing the fire and the BBQ.

Photobucket
All the five busy busy preparing...

Show you all some chio prawns!!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Very red and yummy!

Photobucket
Fanning the fire.

Photobucket
Our catch for the day.

In total, we caught like around 30 of them? Sadly, I don't really like to eat prawn but I actually tried the prawn's egg which is bloody tasty lah!

Photobucket
WHOOHOO!!

Photobucket

Photobucket
The biggest prawn that I caught.

Photobucket
Big head prawn.

We actually fed some prawn for the stray cat there. Is this consider as animal abusing? =x

Photobucket

I shall end this post with my picture.

Sunday, September 20, 2009

-
OMG! OMG! I am blogging! Yeah! I am blogging! SCREAMMMMMMMM!!! HAHAHA!!

I had a Taka Reunion Dinner on last monday @Vivo. Before that, a few of us decided to go for some suntan session since the sun is soo bright bright! OMG!! SUN IS BRIGHT!!!

Fuck that! I NEVER EVER suntan after 12pm! I was sunburnt instead of suntan! I actually told Long Zhen to meet 10 am but she said 11am shall do. Okay, in the end all of us were late and only begin our suntan session at around one. Sun is dead hot!

We had Superdog for our breakfast + Lunch. Superdog's hotdog is simply YUMMY!!! I really love Superdog!

Photobucket

Photobucket
The fries were fucking cripsy!

After the Superdogilicious meal, off to Sentosa!
Photobucket

Yes, we cam whored every steps we took.

Photobucket

Did some crazy pose at this fountain. I was kinda scare that the fountain will sprout even bigger water so I didnt really pose well for them. In the end, they laughed at me for being afraid of water lor! Tsk.!

Here's one big assed picture for you all to see!
Photobucket

So the Sunburnt session begin!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Zhi Cong adjusting the camera.

He was smart enough to bring poker cards so we played Big 2 and loser have to stand bare footed on the sands and take picture.

Fast enough, I am announced as the first loser.

After that, we decided to slack over at a random shelter before going for our wash up.

Photobucket

and we starts to camwhored again!

Even after our shower...

Photobucket

Okay! I gonna rant abit here! I got sunburnt though it's not as bad as last time but still it felt like fucking millions of red ants biting me all over! Okay, maybe I am abit "kua zhang".

Photobucket
My smile sucks. :(

Japanese Gourmet House offers three different brands within one shop - Botejyu from Osaka, Yoshimi from Hokkaido, and Ajisen from Kyushu.

So I was looking at the menu, thinking of what to order. All the girls choosed Ajisen noodles which I thought kinda mundane leh! So in the end, I ordered a plate of noodle which I totally regret it! Dont ask me the name because I dont bother to remember it! I only know it's pork something something.!

Photobucket

Kinda wasted and it's not enough for me to be honest!

And if you are wondering why only the few of us took pictures with our dinner, that's because the rest were shy and die die dont want to take. coughcoughnicholascoughcough. If not, must be because their food came late and I have no mood to take! LOL! Must be complaining about my food size.

Serene 20th Birthday

Friday, September 18, 2009

Yes! This entry will be on Serene 20th Birthday Celebrations @ Retro Bar. You know? I was thinking how shall I blog this to make it interesting since I always blog about going out or celebrating friends birthday and all I did was inserting the pictures and then type few paragraph of words. Kinda boring right?!

So I was thinking maybe I shall edit the pictures and somehow make them like a collage or what. But I failed at that. Photoshopping skill sucks. Boohoo!

In the end, I went to look around (bloghop lah!) and actually came across this particular blogger's (coughcoughJaydencoughcough) blog entry. I actually liked the way he edited his pictures for one of his entry.

Dont mind me, because I decided to adopt this editing photo method (so called "inspired") though I dont think I did a good job on that but let's feel the celebrations mood of Serene's Birthday.

Uncle Chee and Wee Xiang Birthday

Monday, September 07, 2009

KWAH KWAH KWAH! Let me count! How long have I not blogged? Must be more than 20 days liao lor! Haha!

Aiya! I just totally have no mood to blog plus I have to rush for my project! (It's done now!) And basically I dont think I have anything interesting to blog also! Everytime I blog, it's all about my outings with friends if not, birthday celebrations lor! Sibei boring lah!

NEVERTHELESS I SHALL BLOG and guess what I am gonna blog? Yeah, more birthday celebrations! ;)

Birthday Celebrations @ Crystal Jade

Yes, it's Uncle Chee and Wee Xiang birthday celebrations and this time, we dine over at Jurong East's Crystal Jade. We went for their steamboat buffet.

Photobucket
You all can check out the prices!

Photobucket

I have to agree with a comment that michy made on that day, she said something about it's really fun to have a gathering once again! Especially we sat together for a simple dinner. A pity that Jasmine and Yueli couldnt join us.

Acompany Jiahao to withdraw some cash and we made one big round to find that bloody ATM. When we are back to the restrauant, all of them already went to make their own sauces and drinks liao lor!

Photobucket

But it's fine with me since I can do without sauces but after that, Xiang Long and I went to mix some as we are planning it to be a forfeit for anyone who loses in any game we suggest throughout the dinner later.

Photobucket

There were many types of ingredients so I suggested try those which is not really that disgusting but Xiang Long told me; "Dont care lah! Anything here can eat de lah! Just put all and mix them can liao!"

SIBEI EVIL LOR!!! Okay lah, maybe evil is not the word but walau he actually added all the ingredients he see and mixed them together!

Photobucket
Firstly, Peanut as the base.

Photobucket

And then some green stuff to add the color.

(Damn, I really didnt approve with adding that green stuff...)

Photobucket
and he squash, chomp and mixed...

Photobucket
Add some soy sauce...

Photobucket
Then mixed them again...

Photobucket
TADAH~ End result!
(sibei gross...)

And who's the lucky one to suffer this forfeit? You will know in the later part.

Photobucket
One of the birthday boy is very shy eh...

Actually, we decided not to tell Wee Xiang that we are celebrating his birthday, wanna make it a surprise but I do think he somehow would have guessed it. But that's not the point isnt it?

(Uh huh, I do get distracted while I blog eh? FB-ing, twittering etc)

Photobucket
Let's begin our steamboat feast!!!

(Insert the combine picture here again...)

Photobucket
Xiang Long & Uncle Chee

(Wait, I do think Xl does not want to take picture with Uncle Chee...)

Photobucket

SEE! Even second shot, he also look unhappy!

Photobucket

Next is the cake part. Nova was witty enough to suggest that we should let the two of them buy each other birthday cake.

So when I saw Wee Xiang went out to withdraw money, I told him; "Eh, buy one slice of small cake for Chee Hau.." secretly...

Later on, Ting Ting and I went to look for him and choose the cake. I told Ting Ting to acompany him while I went to look for Chee Hau so that I can get Chee Hau to get a cake for Wee Xiang.

Both of them went to different bakery and the funny thing was that both of them crossed each other path and was very shocked to see one another, they tried to hide the cake from each other and I was laughing secretly.

I TELL YOU!! SIBEI FUNNY LAH! BOTH OF THEIR EXPRESSION! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Photobucket
Birthday boys!

and...

Photobucket

happy birthday! happy birthday~~~

Photobucket

to Uncle Chee and Wee Xiang...

Photobucket

And we made them do some stunt in order to eat their cake.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Time for some group photo taking sessions.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

HAHAHA! We took quite a number of same shot but look at the picture above, Jiahao's cap was being tackled by Thiam Yue. It's kinda normal for us now to tackle his cap whenever he wear it.

Photobucket
Jiahao trying to safeguard his cap

Photobucket

I was good enough as I hinted to Jiahao and both of us went to disturb Thiam Yue's helmet hair.

JUST TAKE A LOOK AT HIS EXPRESSION! Totally classic!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Wilson is kinda cute here...

Photobucket
The pretty girls.

So after our filling meal, we start to play "Zhong Ji Mi Ma" (Ultimate Number) and yes, you guessed it! Whoever lost have to eat abit of the sauces that Xiang Long made in the early part.

Photobucket
Victim #1: Lim Thiam Yue

Photobucket
Victim #3: Wilson

Photobucket
Victim #4: Uncle Chee!

Photobucket

I think Uncle Chee "tio" the most! And if you are wondering who's victim #2, it's yours truly.

(Picture was kinda unglam so...yeah)

Photobucket

Group Photo and that's the end of the Steamboat celebrations!

Oh wait! Here a picture of Wee Xiang eating the forfeit.

Photobucket

~~~
WEE XIANG 20th BBQ PARTY
Wee Xiang invited us all for his 20th birthday party which is held at Bukit Batok. I was kinda unlucky that day as I forgot to bring my Ez-Link card and was running late so bobian, have to buy standard card. (Very ex and not worth it you know!)
and let me show you all one very interesting picture!
BOMB! (What? Not interesting meh? Okay! I know I am trying hard!)
Chicken Wings feast!
His bloody chio cookie and cream cake!
The Birthday Boy.
And let the dancing begin!
Oh! Nah, he was just gathering his friends so as to take chio pictures! ;)
Nice group picture but birthday boy's eyes is close lor!
But nevermind, take one more time!
SEE! NICELY TAKEN!
Make a wish! Typical. Ha.
That day, he was damn busy can! We tried to locate him and we failed 4398753874563745 times! Social butterfly sia! Haha! Heard that he was forced to drink many cans of beer.
Happy 20th birthday! Wee Xiang!
PS: Okay! I have blogged! I have blogged!!! YEAH!!
There was a total of 9 Volunteers (Including me!) on that day, and we have three different stations; Painting Pegs, Party Hats and the Scientific Station. I was assigned to the Party Hats Station and my job was helping the kids to turn their piece of drawing into party hats.
I was late on that day but luckily the event havent start yet so played card game with the rest of the volunteers after Ler Tong/Jun Wu briefed us.
& this is Ler Tong/Jun Wu
The teachers passed us a basket of what looked like packet of colourful marbles and we were told to give the kids if they played the golf but in the end, all the kids got a packet each and some still asked for more. Apprently, it's some toys that the kids really love.
For us, we didnt know what the hell was that! We were like thinking if it's sweet or what? But one of the teacher told us these are called "Water Babies" and they can reproduce if you put them in water for some time.
Of course we all very amazed lah! We were like "Huh? This balls can grow babies? Sure anot!?"
aww...I just love DSLR effect! The out of focus effect and such...
I shall flood you all with more pictures. Muawahahahahah!! So you all wont be bored by words mah!! And all photos are taken by Lin Kai, our photographer of the day.
The girls were in charge of the Painting Pegs Station. The children all crowded around them, trying to play around with the paints and sort of make a mess for them. They only want to play around with the paint because they didnt bring home the pegs they did, they paint liao then move on to the next station.
Painting their pegs.
Engrossed with the peg painting eh?
Random and I dont know what I was laughing at.
The next station (actually, they can anyhow jump lah...) was the Science Station whereby we show the kids how a DIY volcano erupt by using Baking Soda? but due to our limited budget, there wasnt a dough-made volcano but just a mineral water bottle.
The kids were very curious about this little experiment.
Next is the station I am in charge with another three guys. We told the kids to draw whatever they want but in the end, we start to play Tic Tac Toe with the kids because the kids kept asking us for more Water Babies. So we challenged them, if they win us, we will give them.
So this little boy told me that if he win me, I have to give him two packets of Water Babies (Ya, I know very greedy right?) so I told him what if I win, is he going to give me his Water Babies too?
His reply was this: "You are so lame..."
Taken aback and I fell on the ground and the moment I hit the floor, few little horrible nightmares came to me and pulled my hair. :(
But he did accept the challenge. My plan was to win his Water Babies first then later purposely lose to him so that he can at least get one Water Babies mah!
Who knows, the moment he lost to me and gave me his Water Babies, he went into this "Want-to-cry-but-didnt-cry" mode. You get what I mean a not? I have to go humour him, trying to make him dont be angry with me. It was very tiring and he still continue to ignore me lor! So in the end, I just went back to my station until he came to me.
MUAWHAAHAHAHA!! I WIN LIAO!!! WAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Kids drawing their hat desgin.
One of the Volunteer and I asking what the kids are drawing.
And I drew POKEMON for some of the kids and the kids were all like "This is Bulbasur! This is Psyduck!!" and "Wow!! He draw very real!! He know how to draw!!"
*SMIRK* MWUAHWAHWAHAWHAHAH!!!
Jun Wu helping out a kid.
Me with the bags of Water Babies I won. *evil grin*
The event lasted for 2hours and then it was clean up and the teachers cooked some bee hoon so we had our lunch before we went home. It was meaningful and fun to meet and play with the kids. If anyone of you want to join our volunteer projects, you can just contact me.
There will be a new volunteer project this December, its a 3Days 2Night camp and I am sure it gonna be fun!! I asked Zhi Cong and Audric already, hopefully we can all go for this camp. :
ULTIMATE PROJECT FTW!!
PS: Lookout for Nova and my name.
Hi guys! Do you all miss my blog updates? I bet all of you did! Dont care! Haha! Anyway lah, I shall update on the Project Painting I did with Ultimate Challange few weeks back! So you all can have something meaningful to read about. :)
As mentioned in my previous entry, I went to do some volunteer work at Hougang. We are painting a mural for this non profitable student care center
It's quite fun as I get to meet new people over there, all of them are very nice like me. (muawahhaahah!)
Actually, before I start I was kinda worried that I will ruin the mural because it's been years I paint something, not to mention on a wall somemore!!
Of course will scare de lah! Imagine I screwed the painting! But it turns out pretty good and I actually painted it smoothly. The only annoying thing is that the place very de stuffy sia!! There is hardly any wind at all!
Okay lah, I shall just show you all the process of the painting now! Proudly taken by Jun Wu/Ler Tong/Tong. (yeah yeah yeah, he sibei many names lor!)
I shall quote this:
"Are you eager to perform community service but unsure of how to go about doing it? Are you unwilling or afraid to commit long term to a charitable organization? Or are you just looking to do something meaningful?"
For the Greater Good...
Sunday, July 26, 2009
There was a period of time when I was feeling moody. Very moody but not to the point of depressions lah! I just felt empty and and moody. Thats all...
So, one of the weekend during that period, I actually went to do some voluteering work. Yes, you didnt hear/read me wrong! I went to do some voulnteering work! In this case, painting of a child care center. :)
Reason? Because I am a kind hearted and benevolent person lor!!
WHAT??! WHAT!! What's with that suspiscious look of yours huh? You all dont believe me?? Dont think I am a kind hearted person uh?? I AM ONE OKAYY!!
Okay lah, maybe not to a certain extent. I also dont know the reason behind my action, maybe out of boredom? OR maybe because I want to see the smiles of the kids. Like this one here,
Photobucket
Very cute hor?
OIE!! DO NOT mistake me as some children pervert! I just find that the smiles of these kids are very innocent and lovely! Dont you think so?
What I do not understand, was the reactions from my friends when I told them I am doing some volunteering work. Their reactions was like I had just announce I am getting marry or what like that! Mad shit mann!! They asked me "For what? Why you do volunteer work?" or "Huh? You do volunteer work? Sure anot?"
WHAT??!! I dont look like someone who will do volunteer work meh!?!! Nabei! When I was young, I always asked coins from my mum so that I can drop into the donation tin okay! Err, okay...maybe just for the sake of the stickers...
BUT THE POINT IS THAT I AM REALLY DOING VOLUNTEER WORK!!
Then that day, when I was out with Jiahao. He asked me why I went to do volunteer work. So I decided, just for a laugh or what, told him because I only left with two months and that I am dying and leaving this world, told him I need to get a beanie soon as my hair is falling due to the treatment.
Of course, he knew I was pulling his legs lah. But then, I was getting sorry and regretted about this little joke I cracked because there is one little girl who is suffering from an illness, Neuroblastoma. And here I am, making an illness-related joke when I am all well and healthy.
Charmaine is in the 4th stage of the illness and her chances of survival are low. She is just a four years old kid. Can you imagine a small girl like her is suffering and fighting against a invisible enemy?
She will have a higher chances of surviving this ordeal, with the treatment in the U.S but the cost of treatment in the U.S is high, with the initial deposit coming up to $500,000SGD.
Do you feel anything for her and want to help her?
You can! If you want to help Charmaine to reach that amount,
Please refer to here in making a donation or go to http://www.nuffnang.com.sg/forcharmaine/
Thank you!
Lastly, just want to show you the wall I painted for the child care center.
Beautiful isnt it?
